More clearing

Another weekend in Seattle, another area of weeds to be cleared for future planting... This time I weeded an area between our neighbors' garage and our driveway. T. had kindly taken the weed wacker to it last weekend, so it was up to me to take out the roots, dig out the rocks, and form a new border with the rocks I found. Here's what we started with:

I have some lavender plants that are ready to place here—I was too tired after all of the digging to plant them. I also have some blackberry sticks that may be dead already, but I'll still try to place them to see if they'll take. Sadly, I'm in Cali this week, but perhaps I'll get them in the ground before T's parents arrive this weekend.
